AN fashion show Oscar de la Renta, perhaps more than any other, is a show where the audience is transported to a parallel universe. It is a quiet place, away from the smog andheat and bustle of the city. No pushing – this is a world of refined elegance and decorum and is a real pleasure to visit. Sometimes we can all add up to something terribly grown but this season, the designer of 82 years old, presented a collection that was fresh, youngand absolutely gorgeous. Yes, those were the opulent fabrics; his jumbo eyelet embroidery seemed the finest in the world, but the silhouettes are whipped up into something pretty and young.
There were even bare midriffs between floating skirts and cropped tops A-line, while theflowers are all sweetness and light. Gingham is a tendency to see – now appeared numerous times throughout the week – you come here baby pink and blue. Elephant plush toy perched on the seat of all that were gifts from the Clinton Foundation to raise awareness of poachers….!
